Our Client has a permanent (direct hire) position for a Journeyman Machine Repair Person in Detroit. This is a large tier-one supplier with very good management.

Shift: 4 day work week. (6am – 4:30 pm) Fri & Sat; (6pm – 4:30 am) Sun & Mon. Three days off!!! Good work life balance.

Job Overview:

The Maintenance Machine Repair Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and will be accountable for performing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics, electrical and injection mold maintenance and repairs.

Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems using schematics and technical drawings.
• Repair injection molding equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors and other equipment at facility as required.
• Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate injection molding equipment. Maintain industrial control system.
• Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safely.
• Create and report repairs at end of shift. Complete required paperwork, document parts and material usage.
• Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation. Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required.

The ideal candidate will have/possess the following:

· Years of experience: (4+) years preferred

· Journeyman’s License/Certification is required/mandatory

· A plus to have previous Injection Molding maintenance experience

· Education Required: High School Diploma/GED

· Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical experience
