Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment when working with energized circuits.
- Perform pre-power visual inspection of equipment and components.
- Follow procedures and checklist to function test low and medium voltage Variable Frequency Drives, medium voltage Motor Controllers, and Solid State Starters.
- Provide assistance during testing of non-standard product.
- Read and interpret electrical circuit and wiring diagrams.
- Use standard test equipment and have the capacity to learn how to use more advanced test equipment.
- Operate test stations generating voltages up to 13,800 volts.
- Use common hand and small power tools to connect and disconnect equipment cabling.
- Report equipment and component discrepancies and nonconformance.
- Maintain test equipment as needed.
