Job DescriptionMetro Services is seeking to immediately fill an Assembly Operator position for a Manufacturing company in Sparta, TN. This is a Temp/Contract job. Apply now!
Duties for this position include:
• Inspect small parts to ensure they are the correct parts for a particular unit.
• Read and understand engineering prints and tolerances for particular parts.
• Assemble components and small parts assemblies onto fuel or industrial tanks.
• Inspect the accuracy of the assembled tank for potential quality issues.
• Identify, record, and report any scrapped product.
• Perform continuous standing, reaching, and pushing/pulling.
• Lift or move materials averaging 50 lbs up to 75+ lbs with assistance in difficult work positions.
• Maintain mental and visual attention to installation operations.
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls while following safety procedures.
Compensation (USD):
1st Shift: $16.38/hour
2nd Shift: $16.88/hour
Schedule:
1st Shift
Monday - Thursday 4:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
2nd Shift
Monday - Thursday 2:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to follow safety protocols and wear PPE (eye protection, ear plugs, safety shoes).
• Ability to work in hot environments and use vibrating tools.
• Must be able to work full time on an ongoing basis.
