Core Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathe or mill equipment in line with production schedules and part specifications.
- Read and apply blueprints, drawings, and work orders to plan operations.
- Monitor runs; verify dimensions; adjust offsets, tools, and code to maintain quality.
- Conduct routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Keep the work area clean and safe; follow all policies and procedures.
- Partner with team members and leadership to enhance processes and productivity.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical machining education/certification preferred.
- Practical experience running CNC lathes or mills.
- Strong knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and cutting techniques.
- Comfortable reading technical documents, prints, and schematics.
- Detail-driven, quality-focused, and reliable.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
- Familiar with manufacturing safety practices.
Technical Proficiencies
- CNC programming and program edits at the control.
- Knowledge of G-code and M-code.
- Efficient setups for production runs and repeat jobs.
- Manual machining skills for secondary operations.
Tools and Machines
- CNC Mill: 3–4 axis VMC
- CNC Lathe: 2–4 axis
