Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a precision manufacturing company in Georgetown, TX to hire a CNC Machinist. This position offers long-term stability and growth in a high-precision, team-oriented environment.
The CNC Machinist will independently set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling and turning equipment (3-axis and 5-axis). The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience working with CNC machines in a production setting, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards.
Schedule: 6pm – 2am, Monday – Friday (overtime as needed)
Pay Rate: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour DOE
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program offsets, and operate CNC mills and lathes
- Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and engineering drawings
- Perform in-process inspections using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
- Ensure all parts meet tolerance and finish specifications
- Troubleshoot and correct machining issues as they arise
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in the work area
- Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to improve processes and productivity
Qualifications Required
- Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining experience (mills and/or lathes)
- Ability to read and interpret G-code and machining blueprints
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
Preferred
- Experience with both 3-axis and 5-axis machines
- Background in precision manufacturing or aerospace components
- Familiarity with setup reduction and process improvement techniques
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machine operations and moderate noise
- Standing, bending, and manual handling throughout the shift
- Overtime may be required based on production needs
