Key Responsibilities
- Operate food production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare, mix, process, or cook ingredients according to established recipes or procedures.
- Monitor machinery and report any issues or malfunctions to supervisors.
- Inspect products for quality, consistency, and proper packaging.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, following all hygiene and safety guidelines.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and other food safety requirements.
- Weigh, label, and package finished products.
- Assist with inventory, material handling, and restocking supplies.
- Complete production logs, batch records, and other required documentation.
- Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required).
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or general production (preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Willingness to follow strict safety and sanitation protocols.
Working Conditions
- Cold, warm, or humid production environments depending on product type.
- Shift work may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime.
- Use of hairnets, gloves, and other personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
