Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Foreman to join our packaging and warehouse team. This role focuses on managing packaging and forklift individuals, schedules and equipment to ensure efficient production and load out packaged materials
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing packaging machinery (Hamer 2090) to ensure efficient production
- Assign daily roles and responsibilities to machinery operators and forklift operators to meet production and load out needs
- Manage tools, equipment and personnel
- Lead crews by example, providing hands on instruction and working alongside team members
- Utilize strong problem solving and decision making skills to resolve on-site challenges
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Keep track of material supplies necessary in packaging materials
- Communicate clearly with upper management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Prior experience running a Hamer 2090 or other packaging equipment (preferred)
- Material handling equipment (sit down forklift, loader)
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Familiarity with warehousing
- Ability to operate a variety of tools and large equipment
- Strong teamwork, priority management and task organization skills
- Ability to stand and work for extended hours using necessary tools and PPE
- Capability to lift 50+ lbs. regularly and perform activities such as climbing or kneeling
- Bilingual in Spanish a PLUS
